2015 - Is an RS Focus in your future?

They won't. Ford wants to think front wheel drive is awesome for sports cars.

Yes,I'm a supporter of AWD sports cars and wish they would offer this but when they offer the ST barely cheaper than a WRX without AWD it's hard to see Ford offering AWD with a competitive price point.

the new rs that is on the front page looks like how the subies used to look, mean and aggressive. The subies now are hybrids and floppy, the only thing that sets them apart is the awd. Imagine a world with less subie douche bags and mroe focus drivers haha

A Focus RS, or ST for that matter is typically for someone who is going to have one car and wants it to be functional and fun. A mustang wouldn't work very well for me, hauling snowboards, mountain bikes, a weekend worth of stuff up north with me. But a Focus does, and having one that's seriously quick, and a blast to drive is great. Let's see you throw a 55 inch TV in it's box in a mustang, you can in a Focus RS, or a Focus ST.

This times infinity. This is why I own a WRX wagon, so much room for activities! Although as the Focus goes I feel like the ST would be a little more suited for DD roles. But I guess it's the same situation as people who DD an STi over the WRX.

Until I can properly afford and store two vehicles, I will own a WRX or an ST hatchback.

Ouch. I agree on the look thing though. The base Imprezzas are definitely getting the Toyota treatment. However, I still think the 2011-present WRX hatches are pretty damn sexy.

I will 100% buy one if the base model comes in under $30,000. If it doesn't, there will likely end up being better options (used) that I would end up taking. Please, Ford, do this.

The ST almost makes me want to do a sell and buy of my car but not quite. a new RS with AWD...yeah I'd do it. Has to be a couple options available to satisfy all the price-points. options for full leather, HIDs bigger wheels Stainless steel exhaust - carbon fiber front fenders? That way you could slip into one from 27K-32.5K

How much power would this car have? 300HP/325 FT LB TQ?
3300 LB Curb weight? This would equate to 11lbs per HP.
ST is about 12.7lb per HP
The 5.0 Mustang Curb weight I estimate to be around 4200lbs so the 420 HP it pumps out equates to a drivers race between the two cars in a straight line (10HP)

This kind of performance from a RS car seems right. The car would be able to do at LEAST 100MPH in the 1/4 mile and make mince meat out of the Nürburgring making this the fastest RS ever made.

This is why it probably won't happen. Ford is still stuck in a useless fight with Government Motors making outdated, inefficent boxes than the hot hatchbacks we really want. The SVT was one of the best cars I have ever been behind the wheel of, but even the Fiesta ST will only come in a 5door here...
