File format for MFT?

Is there a format of video file that MFT will recognize and play off a thumb drive?

Has anyone used the AV jacks with either a portable DVD player or gaming console? If so, is there anything special we should know about it (do's, don'ts, advice)?

I tried it a while back using one of those little handheld things that runs off a 9-volt and has a bunch of old games built in (the little box with a joystick and one button). All I got was sound so I couldn't see anything but I could hear myself getting wiped out in Galaga.

Here is another thread with regard to video:

I have tried mp4, avi and wmv. Did not find any of these would work.

I tried it awhile back with an inexpensive portable DVD player. It worked fine.

For saftey it will not play while you are moving.

I think it was when I put the car in gear it blocks the display with the "Audio/Video in" screen and I think the sound keeps playing.

You'll have to buy a lockpick if you want to use those devices in motion. It will only work in park with stock software.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think I read that the last mft update broke the video from the composite input, so it doesn't work anyhow. If the truth is the opposite don't hesitate to correct me.
