I think the new forte looks pretty good; the jump from the last gen Forte to the new one will be like the jump from the MKII to the MKIII Focus - less cheapy looking and much more refined and sporty looking.

It also has very similar looking tail lights to the Focus, but there's enough differentiation to tell them apart - the Forte looks more organic and alienish, and the tail lights swoop down. Either way, I like my HB better :P

He's not talking about the two compared to each other, it's the fact that they don't bother designing cars on their own. It's like they wait till another company comes out with a sharp car, take all the cool stuff, change it very slightly and introduce their own new model based on it the next year. The same way China gets their technology by buying American designed stuff, reverse engineering it, then producing cheap copies. It's one of the (many) reasons I would never own one.

Only somewhat original cars around anymore seem to be some GM products.

Chrysler has there own way PT Cruiser, Prowler,Caliber 200 and 300 they went different then most some designs for the worst for sure but not a copy cat.
