Clutch Kit/ flywheel

Hey all,
I have a 2003 SVT that has just over 103,000 miles on it. I'm having clutch issues for the first time and need to replace, however I am running into issues on the parts. I am being told that I have to purchase an entirely new flywheel along with the clutch kit. The parts I have found are running from $600 to $700. I'm not worried about labor but the prices for the parts are nuts. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it absolutely necessary to purchase a new flywheel or is there a way I can go around this temporarily (resurface it or something...) I would appreciate any advice or help I can get. Thanks!

If you have never replaced your clutch/flywheel before then you have one of the pre-TSB flywheels that ford released and updated design for. You should absolutely replace your flywheel if this is the case.

Amazon has the Luk clutch kit with the updated version of the flywheel for ~$400.

I just purchased the LUK clutch kit with flywheel from partsgeek.com for $330 Shipped... Does anyone know what else im going to need from experience with what that kit comes with? My mechanic says I dont need flywheel bolts but I will need pressure plate bolts and a pilot bearing? Does this check with you guys?
