my ex gf's dad drove a cummins diesel duramax that was manual, that thing was a friggin' BEAST.

I admit, I cannot really drive a manual. Not by choice though....... nobody can teach me. Friends don't know how. My stepmom is the only one in my direct family that knows how, but theres no car for me to practice with. My uncles know how, but same story there. If I could take a class on how to and get practice, I would in a heartbeat. I work at a dealership (as a part-time detailer) and they showed me how to drive one around the nice flat parking lot going 10mph or less without issue, but thats it. Thats my limit at this point. Quite frusterating.

My friend taught me to drive his manual the day before I went to look at my car, which I bought and drove 1.5 hours home. Needless to say I killed it a few time on the way home but I'm very glad I went with a stick shift.

Similar story here in town I guess.

The owner of a Prius had to show the carjackers how to start it and put it in gear before they stole her car. Lol

The suspects reportedly gave up and ran away, leaving Bean on the ground. Police tried searching for the suspects, but they took off.

"My first thought was I guess we don't have driver's ed in school anymore because no one knows how to drive a stick," Bean said. "And my second thing was, don't shoot me because you can't start the car. I'm trying to help you out here."

Though the thieves left the Corvette, they still made off with Bean's phone, keys and wallet.

In my drivers ed, they had 10 manual junkers and an automatic focus. everyone wanted to drive the focus. lol. But seriously, our first time out on the course was just a down-and-back across the lot. They were grumpy old men, and didn't teach anyone how to drive a manual. Just said "Don't use the gas or we will kick you out"

Hahaha. Lots of truth to that.

Second time I ever drove a manual was the day I bought my SVT. In the ~1.5ish miles from the bank to my house I managed to stall it 3 times. My dad followed me home and when I stalled it at a stop sign I could see him laughing in in his truck behind me. Ah, good memories.
