Performance gains after LSD install?
Has anyone installed at any point the Quaife LSD for the SVT? I am wondering what kind of performance gains did you see? Were they noticeable? Did the car feel as if it was grabbing more?

Quaife as of yet does not produce a differential for the 2013 ST although they do provide the differential for the RS500.

Any information would be appreciated!

I am moving this to "ST performance" for you. As far as I know installing a LSD only helps with gaining more traction. You won't see any performance gains out of it as in more power. It just keeps you from doing the peg-leg burnouts. Also to note, Quaife made differentials for most models of the Focus.

yeah

i also know they supply the differential in the RS500 so it would seem logical that an MMT6 gearbox differential would be produced at some point. Especially with the ST being global

Found this on their site after altering my search.


Ford Focus ST225 M66 Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential

The ST225 isnt the 2013 ST though if I am not mistaken so this differential is not made for the new ST

I installed a Torsen on my svtf. Difference was night and day. The 13's have an e-diff right? I read that a mechanical diff might help if you track your car.

That sounds like it was for the MK2 Focus ST which used a volvo engine and gearbox, the 2013 Focus ST uses the MMT6 gearbox, not an M66, so it wouldn't likely work at all.

I thought the RS and RS500 used electronic torque vectoring? I remember Clarkson talking about it on the Top Gear episode
