new intake idea?

has anyone done an F-I hood? or ram air intake? i was thinking of drilling another hold into the stock air box, running another stock focus snorkel and a K&N filter. then fiberglassing the snorkel scoop to hood scoops in the hood. to give it the colder air w/o the longer piping distance. im trying to make up for my loss of torque with my CAI. i feel the gains.. but i feel the loss in low end torque oh ya and my full exhaust with no cat loss low end torque there
