Has anyone painted the stock Hella headlights?

Lol nope, should be cheap/easy to pick up any Mk1 lights to swap in while you work on the Machs.

Good, good. Check back in here if you need help with any of the steps. Are you going to take out the wiring and crap on the inside before you bake them? You don't have to, but I did. It was a bit of a pain but doable.

Not the best pic but they turned out pretty good. Relatively easy project. The only issue i have now is I noticed the lens has some really small cracking now that might have been from the oven.

I also NightShade'd my tail lights and the side blinkers. Now I just need that Eurogrille to show up in the mail!

Its definately a must-do project if you have a black or dark car. I don't have any pics of mine, but i took my machs apart and painted the entire chrome piece gloss black to match my black svt. Its the best looking mod I've done.

Yes it is, got it used on the Buy Sell Trade forum here. I prefer this one to the post-facelift Euro grille, which has a thicker outer bezels and less "hashing". Other folks prefer that one though, and I believe the ST170 grille is more similar to the post-facelift style.

has anyone tried color-matching the housing? I'm concerned that black will be a bit too dark for my taste, but I haven't seen any examples of color-matched housings on which to base a decision.
