Rain Guards PICS anyone?
Hey everyone,
I'm new on this site and I have been browsing the different threads. Got a quick question for all of you. Does anyone have the EGR in channel rain guards for their FF? I am looking long and hard at them, just want to see real life experiences with them. Please post pics thank you! |

hmm... i dont think ive seen rainguards on a focus... if i did i definitely didnt notice haha

I had them on for about 2 days, then ripped them off and threw them in the garbage. They reeked havoc on the automatic windows and made the wind noise inside the cabin unbearable. IMO, don't get them.
Oh, I do have pics, but they're on my laptop at home (I'm at work right now). |

TitaniumStick has them installed on his ride. He said it takes a couple weeks to settle in enough for the auto windows to work properly.
I will concur with the wind noise-you underestimate how quiet the car actually is until you install them (mine were out-of-channel). The only other downside is that EGR isn't making them in dark smoke. I think TiStick's comments are on my profile...

I will have to see for myself. Ordered the in-channel ones from EGR yesterday, and I agree, wished they came in a bit darker.
I could live with the wind noise as I have had rain guards on all my cars. |

   These are made by AVS, very slick. from my understanding our foci have the windows that stop going up if something is obstructing them so I can't see the in-channel vents working very well.

Clear the signal bulbs?
Yeah I love the B&W interior...reminds me of a porsche....or an oreo lol Mine have been on for at least a month now, maybe two, no issues thus far. Please tell me you don't do drive thru car washes lol
