04 SVT sub woofer replacement

my sub woofer blew on the focus looking for a decent aftermarket replacement, looking at 8's but dunno what I need cause the box is shallow.

I believe only 8's will fit he stock box . I'm in the same situation . Lol

I only want an 8 in it but the depth of the box is an issue and I don't wanna buy the wrong 8 for it. I don't need a bigger amp and sub those days are behind me, I just want it to sound like it did before. I hear pioneer makes a shallow mount for it but I was hoping people who have done after markets 8" subs would chime in.

I have a diamond audio sub in the stock box I will take a pic and post it later. Sounds great paired with my soundstream amp!

Another thought....My svt sub is on its way out. I think i am going to end up getting an mtx sub/box for the focus. It fits in the same spot as the stock sub and just has a better enclosure in my opinion. I had on for my explorer and loved it.

Yea I saw that too but like I said before I'm not looking for that boom boom anymore those days are over just looking for a stock replacement.
Does anyone now what the stock amp is rated at and what the stock is?
