Remote starter
Has anyone installed the factory Ford remote starter on their 2012 ford focus? Its looks pretty easy and fairly Cheap, might a good option for those looking to get remote start.

I called Napa for one a while ago. It was $799 before installation for one of their kits. Kinda got scared and never bothered checking with ford. But if the ford kits are priced better maybe I'll go that route.'

$799 for just a unit is rediculous. I've done these for years and the kits i've sold ranged from just under 100 to around 500. there are a couple more expensive ones out there with more options, but you can do it much less than 800.
is that $300 price installed from them? if so then that's not bad at all for a dealer piece.

Yeah I thought it was kinda crazy. I'm gonna ask for a price from Ford when I go to pick up my mats on Saturday. My boss bought a ' viper' remote start system. He can start his truck from his phone. I'm pretty curious how much they cost.

Best buy told me $750 out the door for them to install a Viper 5901
 I can get one from ebay for $200...
