Sync Turn-by-turn without Nav

You have to use Mapquest instead of Google maps. I used it once and it works great. I have a couple of addresses stored on My Ford Syc .com that I can use from the car where ever I'm at. That featured has also worked well.

be aware tho that if you use google maps on an ipad the method shown in the above videos on youtube won't work... the app in the ipad wants to do the routing for you by itself and won't 'post' to sync. At least i can't get it to do it.....

Use it all the time, I have not fired up my TomTom in a while! Have the Destinations app on my iPhone with allot of my saved points.

The only down side to use this is if you go off the downloaded route. It does not automatically re-calculate the route and display it like a regular GPS does.

In this case Sync tells you that you have left the planned route and asks you if you want to update it. Then you have to go through the whole download process again. It is not the fastest process....but it works.

The only issue I have is once and a while I had problems downloading the route. It would fail. This is not a Sync issue I realize....more of the cell phone the signal I am getting. I now have the iPhone 5 so hopefully with LTE/4G speeds I will not have those issues again.

Hi Jaclyn, do Canadian's get a lower price for SYNC to make up for all the features that are not included or functional in the Canadian market?

Thanks Jaclyn, my question was in jest, as we know Ford Canada charges quite a bit more the same car. Obvious there is no reduction for SYNC equipped Foci, even though many of the SYNC services are not available.

I've tried using the Turn-by-turn in my '11 Focus and it works okay, but it only works if the damn sync services lady can understand what I'm saying and she never does so I don't use it.
