Check the temperature (heat/cold) control cable. If the heater core is hooked up and your car is getting up to operating temperature then this is most likely your problem. Do a site search for more info on how to bypass the heater control cable.

Good Luck.

Modern heater cores rarely stop up, thinking they do is thinking locked into the past. The heater loop now runs all the time to keep sediment from clogging it, if heater clogged then radiator will be too. Rather than close off heater core water (that allows the sediment to stack up), most cars now simply open a closed airdoor to the heater core compartment. Meanwhile the core flows water all the time to keep trash from settling in it.

If you disconnect the two 3/4" hoses you'll find around the stat housing you can run a water hose into one and see if you get flow out the other, pick either one to use for inlet. Those hoses run to the core.

Dash must come out to replace core on these, it really sucks............other things? Stat if temp needle not coming all the way up, blower motor not working, air control doors not working right (the cable issue mentioned).
