Little update

Well the day started off by replacing the NEW radiator I just put in....I just hope it lasts longer than 2 weeks, and I can do a radiator in about 1 hour now, I also bought condesner cleaner from home depot "coil cleaner" so much crap came out of those fins damn.

Out with the old busty crusty leaky housing w/ stuck T-stat and crappy temp sensor from vato zone

Then it was time to install the Bostig T-housing

I must say thanks to Steve over at Tousley even though hes an avid "FECALJETTER" for the lookout on the proper gasket the one you need is for the REGULAR ZETEC he sent me both Zetec and SVT

This is the gasket you will need

After all the running around to different parts houses to find a sensor that would Ohm out near the SVT temp sensor this is what you will need its off an older contour 3/8 NPT and has factory style plug so its plug and play, this was the reason I held off installing this housing until i knew for sure it would work

here are some pics of the Bostig Housing installed on the SVT very nice piece.

Then I took off the rats nest that was falling apart "Hood carpet' and trashed it and cleaned underneath the hood and engine bay, does anyone know if the "Hood carpet" is still available?

Yes all the SVT covers fit

I really hope CFM hurries with that SVT clutch line mine looks very bad I just hope it lasts till the clutch starts slipping....102,000 miles at the moment on OEM clutch fingers crossed

Another thing I noticed is that my new MOOG grease-able ball-joints seem to have play in them.....driver side more than the passenger side do any of you have any play? there is only 5000 miles on these ball-joints when grabbing tire at 12 and 6 o'clock there is noticeable movement which is odd and yes I greased them up before I rode on them I packed them real good. No movement at 3 & 9 o'clock though

Did a quick clean

That T-stat housing is beautiful! 1st one I've seen installed, although the price is high, I think you just sold me on it. If I had an SVT, I would leave that plastic cover off to show off that housing!

Looking good qweesy.

Btw, your Steeda springs are the 1.5" drop ones correct? Only asking cuz I only see one set of springs listed on their site for the 00-04 cars. Wanted to ask how they ride with the konis cuz I believe I'm going to change my suspension over to the same setup. Not really liking the KYB AGX/Eibach Prokit setup.

yes 1.5 drop from a regular fofo height only .75 from SVT height paired if you can find ApeX springs go with them but paird with the Konis I dont think there is a better spring unless you wanted a little lower then you should go with H&R Race springs for a 2.0 drop.....Konis allow for 1.5 turns "adjustable rebound" I have the rears at 1 full turn and the fronts at .5 turn and haven't touched it since I really like this balance and its not to stiff either. I also have the CFM 4 point and I do scrape but not to much If i had the H&Rs id be scraping all the time

I say go for it man Ive had the SVT kit great for the money and you cant beat it, Ive also had the KW FRPP springs+damper kit those were also 1.5 drop but it was a much rougher ride.

Koni + Steeda FTW!

if we ever meet up Ill let you drive it.....Im going to be at the ST challenge In Sept the Sam Houston racepark

Appreciate the feedback and offer. 1.5" is a good enough drop for me. Probably won't be until spring when I change over so I may get the chance to try your setup :)
