2013 Focus SE Hatch Fan Issue

Hi All-

I just purchased my car, and I have noticed that when I have either the a/c or heat on when driving mainly at low speeds (below 35mph) I will hear a whining or squealing noise coming from what sounds like the fan. I did some problem solving on it, and when I turn the fan motor off it stops. This doesn't happen all the time, but it sure is annoying since I have only had the car for 750 miles thus far!

Anyone else had or heard of this issue and what exactly the cause is?

The speed side of it does'nt compute unless its the noise level at higher speeds and you cant hear it as much or as often.I think you solved it though..sounds like a bum fan motor or bearing if it quits instantly when you turn it off.
