New Focus owner in StL

Howdy.

Thought I'd introduce myself. John Huebbe... new owner of a 2013 Focus SE White Hatchback. Previously owned an Escort ZX2. Live in the St. Peters area.

Will probably customize a few things soon on my car. (Car didn't come with fog lights) I think the car might look better with window tint too.

welcome to the site! you have a great car there and a hell of an upgrade from the zx2 (i did the same thing). plenty of option out there for what you can do to it and lots of people here that are more than willing to help out with whatever you may need.

Yeah, my zx2 was getting old and having problems. 14 years old. Just throwing money at it seemed stupid. (But, it was just a commuter car)

At first I was considering a Fiesta but it didn't seem to have enough power. Even driving a manual didn't make it feel any better. I don't need a lot of power, just enough to make merging easier.

Only thing I wish was better on the Focus was the throw of the gearshifter. Might need to upgrade to a short throw (if there is such a thing for this car?)

i'm pretty sure there is a short shifter out for them already don't know for sure though since i don't own one.

I used to live in St. Chuck, reside now in Columbia, MO.

I am glad I got a 2012, I think that ford closing the plant in Belgum might have something to do with a lack of foggies.
