Better explanation the sch10,sch40 is electrical conduit, hydraulic pipe, and transfer pipes, what we do is submit it to extreme heat and weight and expect it to hold forever. Which sometimes it does but by adding things like heat wrap it holds in heat beyond its capability, so while it works well it was never meant for what we do.

i would love to use sched 40 mild steel with my manifolds b/c of the heat handling and no need to purge for a good solid weld but it makes no since to me b/c mild steel costs a lot more than stainless...

Turns out my bov was stuck open. I found a STUPID deal on craigslist for a almost new greddy type rs for 40 bux. So I drove down n picked it up. Installed it but need to mess with the tension. Rev at idle made no noise and when driving it made noise but compressor surge at the end.
