That fell in there from the head, it means nothing, markings in the surface or gasket is another story.

blowing coolant through the exhaust cant be good for the turbo.

slight subject change. im pissed! opened the box that my bearing set(s) came in the other week and i have all the main bearings and only 1 rod bearing! went back and looked up my transaction and apparently the rod bearings come in sets of 1 LOL. i thought that was way too good a deal for a full set of rod bearings

haha ive done the same thing with bearings before lol. rods only come each unless specified lol.

the coolant on the pistons is just from you pulling the head and breaking the seal on the hg. if there was that much coolant while running it would hydrolock.

I did the same thing two weeks ago. found what I thought was a deal on kyb agx struts but turns out it was just for ONE....stupid me

well it turns out ive done two stupid things this week. first i only ordered 1 rod bearing and then i ordered rod bolts twice and i have no arp flywheel bolts. i put in for more bearings but i dont think they are going to make it in time and there's no point in ordering flywheel bolts to come to my house. i guess ill just have to ship them down to alabama.

anyhow, its crunch time! final checks on what i need to bring with me. already sent you money for turbo fab, have not sent money for engine building yet. we will cross that bridge when we get to it. shouldnt be a problem. i am still waiting on my order from massive as well. karl told me there should be no issue getting it here by tomorrow so im just going to cross my fingers and hope. its kind of important, that shipment has my clutch lol.

so what i currently have that im bringing with me. lets start a list
pistons
rods
main bearings
lower gasket set
upper gasket set
ARP main
ARP rod
ARP head
water pump
oil pump
CM fx400 6 puck clutch kit
new gates timing belt
already have new idler and tensioner pulley on the head
new rad hoses just in case. ive pulled those things apart in the past on old high mileage cars and as far as i know mine are factory original.
boost a pump
mafia
BOV
super60
oil pan? do i need to bring my oil pan or are you going to use your own? ill bring mine anyway just in case. the one on the car got dented anyway so in case you were planning on using it you can swap them out and knock the dent back out.
boost gauge
oil PSI gauge
xcal2 flasher
ill bring the stock aluminum valve cover too just in case you would prefer to put it back on. the crap plastic one that was supposedly "powder coated" wrinkle red is made of plastic and is flaking LOL
EGR block off plate unless you are going to rig this kit to be compatible with EGR lol

now for the things that i dont have yet that i need to get shipped down to you

ARP flywheel bolts
3 more rod bearings
bullseye turbo (i think ive decided that im going with the bulls)
44mm vband waste gate
and if i end up with the funds in time, components for a return fuel system whether it be fuel cell or surge tank

am i missing anything?

looks like every thing. yes bring the oil pan.

i got all the turbo parts ordered. ordered a 35r to build the kit with so there should be room for the s256 but i may still wait on the turbo to get here b/c the s256 is longer than the gt series. super60 will not do much good with out a different dp b/c it is a 5 bolt.

you getting an alum fw with that clutch?

egr block off plate isnt something i plan to use.

got an afr gauge?

fidanza flywheel, aem uego A/F gauge, and LSD already installed.

so are you planning to have this kit still hook up to the EGR? do you think you will leave the option open to delete the EGR? if so i would prefer it to be deleted. the EGR tube is resting on top of the t-stat housing inlet pipe because i had to bend it slightly to make it bolt to the header i have installed.

and i might have to ship the pistons and clutch down to you as well. im still waiting on them to arrive from massive. im a bit worried, they should have been here by now.

no egr. i'll make a block off plate for it. not even going to worry about trying to hook up emission stuff... b/c race car lol. sorry to those that want my kit and live in the north.

i already have a block off plate in my miscellaneous car crap grab bag. ill bring it along for giggles if not for anything else. hey! have you come up with a logo yet?
