I also like that tank and with all the AC gone there is a good spot in the forward fender area

but i like having air conditioning! do you think there would be space for something like this in the area of the stock battery box/intake box? i seriously doubt that ANY potential customers would have a problem with moving those things, and there is a pretty good bit of space there.

question about the surge setup because im not sure i fully understand how it works. does this use the stock lines and pump and everything to pull fuel from the stock gas tank to the surge tank? if so then how does the system know to stop filling the surge tank when it is full? also if it operates off the stock fueling system that would mean that under power the surge tank would start to drain faster than the stock fuel system can fill it. under those circumstances how long would it take to drain the surge tank and starve the motor? hypothetically i might one day want to track this car at a road coarse or something like that. but then again under those conditions i would lower the boost to levels that a BAP would be sufficient because 450+ would just be way too much on a road coarse.

yes stock tank and lines will work. with the surge tank there is another return line on top the tank in the case that the surge tank gets full it just returns the extra to the stock tank. since you would be running your engine off your return set up there would be no need for variable voltage on the stock pump or run a bap. you would be able to run any pump in the back you want to supply the surge tank. you could put another 044 or a 255 back there if you wanted. running wot it would still take a while for your engine to completely drain the surge tank with the other tank empty or getting no fuel, but this would depend on the size of your surge tank. since the stock pump will support over 300whp and only has problems at full acceleration and lower fuel levels at those power levels i dont think there would ever be a problem with it running out with only a gallon up front. really running at 450-600whp how long can you hold it wide open before your just out of gear. just seconds...

i was thinking about making a square surge tank and putting it in place of the stock zetec air box and mounting it on the frame rail below where the stock air box would be on the duratec

Id love top mount turtle. But my ac is allready been melted from the dp now lol. Even thou it never touched it. Guess it was just that close enough to it. If you can do one up like Jim did I might beinterested in the suummer time. But for now just the 3 inch piping works for me for cold side

mine will be very close to jim's. i think he is spot on with what the focus needs to fit a large turbo with large piping. im going to try to make a few changes to a couple parts. but we will have to see after i get the car here.
