Your motor mounts are most likely the cause, especially the passenger side one. There are quite a few threads about it.

it seamed fine when i changed the timing belt. i didn't see any oil leaking out of it. i guess ill replace it. what would you recommend polyurethane or OEM hydraulic. the dog bone felt good.

Most say get the factory one, and sometimes they can look ok from the outside and sometimes you can see them split from the metal. Most of the time the liquid leaked out a long time ago. For the lower dog bone I recommend getting the energy suspension ones but they may keep some of the vibrations that your trying to get rid of, but then again it may feel a 100% better when replaced with a new passenger side one at the same time. My car smooth enough for me, except when I blow the passenger side one up.

ok so i put a new motor mount in. it helped the vibration while in park but
when its in gear it shakes/vibrates like it is missing. it has 140k in it. i was wondering if it could be an injector issue. o... and its averaging 22-24mpg i thought it was low. |

On these cars the best is to replace the passenger motor mount with one from Ford you can use the aftermarket parts for the dogbone and transmission mount. It's best to replace all 3 mounts at a time. The aftermarket passenger mount isn't very good and you only save about $30 on it.
