Play video from USB
Reading the manual is a tad confusing in the way its worded but, should you be able to play video via USB with MFT or does it only play video when using the composite inputs ?

Hi, bigdesignmachine -

Now534 and Burns098356GX are correct. You have to use the composite for video and the vehicle must also be in park to utilize this feature.

It's really a shame they opted for composite. All my devices have digital video out only. My android does micro HDMI, my laptop does Apple Mini Display Port
If I could use the screen for non video (computer display) while driving it would be useful. I'm not going to buy a portable DVD player to watch things while parked.

Yeah it is a bummer that MFT cannot play from other sources. Seems a little short sighted. I get why they dont allow video playback during driving.

I did see some module you can buy that by-passes the feature but it costs around $450. Seems a little over priced but I guess its one of those things....if you want it bad enough, youre going to pay out the ass for it.
