Wow, not hardly worth my time reading about it. Anyone who can mod cars can do it cheaper with better performance results that an extra $15K "package". I love Shelby, but this is a fail.

I think the give-away is in their literature:
"...will find it's way into the stable of the most seasoned collector."

I agree on being able to mod my own for a lot less. And, since there is no HP bump, I could put most of this stuff on my NA car. A complete ST suspension swap onto my Ti 5speed is not all that expensive...

Shelby = fail. They really haven't done anything impressive in a long time- always second best, and second sucks. Just stay out of the business if you're not going to do anything. This company will be around until the generations that remember Shelby as being top shelf performance are gone, then they will be gone. Until then, there will be overpriced, and under-performance modified cars with his name on there all over the place.

Case in point will be understood when they put the new $15k more expensive wide body GT500 against a Hennessey Camaro on a track. I predict the same thing that happened in the Lightning Lap- the Camaro will trounce the Mustang by 1-2 sec with a lot less power. The SuperSnake will win the 1/4, but not by as much as you'd expect given the difference in power. I really don't like the Camaros, but the ZL1 and 1LE with the magnetic shocks are winners even if I can't get over how much I hate that retro-styling.

This says 300hp too. I wonder who's telling some people that, and not others. Shelby's site doesn't say any power upgrades, so I believe there are none yet, but I wonder where some are getting it.

I dont know what to think. Some claim 300hp others claim stock. I know just an exhaust is not going to net 50 ponies. Maybe with this tune I am hearing rumors about. But from what I have been reading it is not included in the current package deal for $15k but "might" be released later.

for that price it needs 350 - 400 hp, a limited color or two, mechanical diff, and why are they not using the recaro seats?

Did Shelby even make an attempt at this???
