They self bleed, it's just that if fluid level gets low and pulls air then it will take sitting a time or two to let all the air degas out of the fluid. If continually getting air then the system has sprung an airleak on suction side to suck in air since easier to pull air than fluid..............return line or pump seal issue.

Took it to my parents on Tuesday, the trip is a 4 hour round trip. I ended up taking the ZXW to the garage down the road and they couldn't get it to act up like it was doing 2 days prior. I ended up taking the car out and tried to get it to foam over like it did before but I could not get anything to happen.
We assumed that the long trip got the fluid circulating enough to work all the air out, or got warm enough to evaporate any moisture that could have been in there. So we called it "fixed" for the time being. If anything else happens I'll go from there but for the time being the wagon is doing fine. |

Just an update, I haven't had the power steering flushed yet but so far all is well I haven't had any problems with the power steering pump again. Thanks for the help on getting it bled and the tips on getting it flushed, that will probably wait till spring when it warms up a little.
