lol i know,
the tensioner doesnt even tension it tho ,the mark isnt even lined up so im still probably gonna do it the belt is riding to the outside

The mark shouldnt line up unless its running , even if the mark didnt line up when running by as much as 1/8 inch still would be ok

its off about 3/4 of an inch i really am beginning to think i jumped a tooth and what about the second idler pulley ,there is two in the kit and there is what looks to be a bolt hole and circle casting to mount one down by the crank ?

but is there a SECOND idler that is what i need to know if not ill just get the tensioner if there is two then i need that second one also ????
besides the one by the tensioner ?

as far as i can thell there is one idler and one tensioner. and they are both up top right where you see them. the bolt hole may be for somethign else on a different platform using the zetec. i wouldnt be too woried.

i found a diagram for a focus that has a idler right by the crank shaft

the idler on bottom is the one in question the only reason i think i had one is that the threads that it mounts to on my engine are clean like i lost it somewhere recently !!!!

There is no idler on the bottom , two at the top one across from the tensioner

If the tensioner is off WHY THE CAR IS RUNNING then readjust it and be done with it , I see nothing wrong from what your showing

The kits with the extra Idler pulley are for a different zetec. Early contours used 2 idlers, the focus zetec did not use the extra idler pulley.
