Sorry, should have clarified, not new to autox just to focus's.
STF, it's all alllowed.

Will the 225/45's and 16x7's +40 fit though?

Shouldn't be an issue. Also, take into account how much lower the vehicle is. Stock suspension, no problem.

A 225 would be a little happier on a 7.5 I would think. Check TireRack for some 16x7.5 wheels.

For reference, I ran 225/45 RS3's on a 17x7.5 +45 stock without issues. I currently am roughly 1.5" lower on intrax springs and koni yellows and still am running that setup (note that I pinched up the inside front fender tab, and on hard transitions the tire has rubbed the paint off the inside edge of the front fenders)

I run 225/50 R16 x 7s +40 with no problem. I like them alot.

But am excited to try the 225/45 R16 with the new DZIIs

KDWs are ok for a street tire, and if you like the attention the tread pattern gets you. They're just not in the top tier of autox street tires.

Any better news on availability for the zed IIs ??? I need autox tires mounted and ready to go by Feb 15... Tire rack is pushed back to 1/21

What size? I ordered 215/45 on Jan 3, and originally my estimated availability was 1/15, but changed to 1/22 this past Friday. I did notice that my amex was charged on Saturday for the tires, so I'm thinking they will be shipped out within a day or so.
