How to cancel the maintenance package-ESP

I purchased ESP-Maintenance package along with car (just 3 days ago), ahhaa my mistake. I've paid $1095-4 years/48k now i want to cancel it. The dealer is far from me. Can i call ford and just cancel it, or should i go to the dealer? Are they charging a fee?

Go to the dealer, or send a certified letter requesting to cancel it, although going there in person would probably be better to make sure they actually follow through with it.

Did they factor in the service plan when you financed the car? If so, you might have to redo the paperwork but don't let them change your APR.

I called the dealer and they let me fax my cancellation letter to them. The money I got back was directly credited to the loan - so it didn't change my rate or minimum monthly payment - it was just that much less taken off the loan.

I was pre-approved by capital one at 3.10% so i went there with my blank check. Then, the finance guy told me that ford finance is offering me a better rate at 2.94%. After all, he talked about the optional maintenance packages and offered if i chose one he would use a coupon that discounts rate to 2.19%...so i jumped on it..

Do you think i can still cancel it?

Why would you cancel it in the first place?

Agree. i also cancelled the extended warranty. If you cancel within the first 30 days you get back 100% and sales taxes also get refunded.
The money went to help pay off the financing.
My 60 miles distant dealer was very good about doing the refund.
One call and they changed it.
Anf yes you MUST contact the original dealer who sold you the policy. Talk or write to the finance guy, not the salesman.

Because I shouldnt have to buy a warranty on an econobox...also if you financed it depending on the rate you end up spending a lot more for it. I also would rather pay out of pocket for minor bugs than deal with the bastards at the Stealerships

All dealers will have you just fax a letter with mileage and VIN, amount is credited back to the car (prorated for mileage). Never had any trouble when I did this before and I doubt you will either

Because I paid too much for it. I canceled it within 30(?) days for 100% back and then bought a much cheaper one separately.

I canceled mine because my dealership wouldn't do anything about the problems on car, so I was paying the money for nothing. I went into the dealer and filled out the paperwork while in for an oil change. Then it was credited to my account in the next month or so.
