Who here has tried 3M Crystalline window tint?

This is the latest goody from 3M. It blocks 97% of IR, 100% UV, and at 39% visible light transmission it blocks 50% of solar heat. The lighter tinted grades block, say 68% VLT blocks 38% of solar heat. TN law states that the darkest we can go on a car window is 30%.

The reason I'm asking is that I'd like to tint the wifey's new vehicle (C-max), but I don't want to darken it like I would for my own car. It has the panoramic roof. Right now it's great in the cold winter, but I'm not sure how great it will be in the summer. It has a shade, but that's all it is, a fairly thin piece of plastic that rolls up. It's probably really similar to what's in an Edge if any of you knows someone with a panoramic roof in one of those.

Not sure about the 3M one but when I tinted mine I got tint with ceramic in it which they had in different levels of heat blocking. They had one that blocked about 85% of the heat but was real pricey at about $500. I ended up with one blocking around 50%-60% heat. Been real happy since it actually works. And here in Texas we only get to go down to 25% on the driver/passenger window.
