Tire Question
I have a 2002 ford focus zx3 with stock 15 inch rims and the stock size tires 195 60r 15 i did the aspect ratio on a couple tire sizes and i was wonder what the widest tire is that i could fit without rubbing or needing to roll my fenders i have stock suspension also i was thinking i could maybe fit 215 55R 15 tires without rubbing or little rubbing but i am not sure?

I put 205/55/16 on and they rub occasionally, and I am not lowered. Those 215's are pretty big, and I would expect rubbing.

So mote be it

I'm not sure you can even find a 215.55.15 tire anywhere (none on tirerack)
SVT wheels use a 17x7 rim where as most stock 15" wheels are 15x6, they will better accommodate that wider tire. offset will play a roll in that equation as well. |

I have 225/50 R16's Bridgestone Potenza RE960 Pole Position and it is CLOSE. And they are a PITA to get the bead to lock when putting them on the stock rim, the shop had to use high pressure unregulated air to get the tires bead to lock. I do have an aftermarket suspension. The tire rubber is about 1/4 to 1/3" away from the strut/ spring assembly. At full lock I do not rub that I have been able to see. With my after market suspension and LCR Race camber plates I actually bottom out my suspension before the tire is able to rub.

okay cool i think 215s will fit then and i am not worried about mounting them i can do it at my school on the tire machine with no problem because i just mounted some 315 30r 17s on my buddies mustang rims and i think that would be alot harder than the 215s with a bigger side wall
