Ford wants $579 for 60k service

I could have sworn that the Ford Focus 2010 was under a seperate maintainenece plan and was a lot cheaper. Can anyone verify this? I know there are servies in that 60k package that do not apply to the Ford Focus. Actualy Ford cahrges $579 for their 30k service as well. I never had mine done because I was in an accident right around the 30k mark and they replaced parts and fluids near the engine so all I needed was a basica oil change at the time. I appreciate any help.

I paid the same for my car, i thought the same about shelling out tht much cash. Just get it done. Conform to their rules so you can keep the warranty valid. I was threatened with a void of warranty.

So for $579 you are paying to have an oil change, air filter swapped out, and fuel filter replaced. That is about $50 in parts if you go for the good stuff. Other than that they are just LOOKING at everything to make sure its serviceable. Honesty, you are better off getting quotes from independent or chain service stations if you cannot do the work yourself.

Look in your maintenance schedule and see what is actually involved. Take that to an independent shop and see what they charge you for the same work.

Yea a friend girl of mine was just complaining about $500+ for her 30k mile service. I wonder if that's the extreme conditions service schedule being pushed?

I know my wife pays ~$70 for her oil changes on her scion, but they wash/vacuum and do the 100-180 point inspection too.

I thought the auto trans isnt set to get service until 100k, same for coolant or maybe 150k for coolant.

That's the cost of maintaining the warantee.

some dealerships do everything that is on the list if the car needs it or not. with my customers, i only present what is needed.
