i know he is running the pro-m maf itself in a 3" tube. i'll ask him some more info about it. i told him back in the day when he ran out of maf about the mafia but he ended up using the pro-m b/c his tuner said if it didnt work he would buy it back from him. i asked ash if he talked to you about the mafia vs pro-m and he said you told him exactly what you just said about the retune... i was just curious about that and why it would need retuned

Would be interesting to know what his voltage is at wot and 7000

One of the big + of the Diablosport MAFia is if you have the pro-m and it is set properly where your over 4.2 volts and you want to do more boost you would have to buy another pr0m recalibrated for more voltage room where as if you had a MAFia you just turn it to the next #

If you read way back to stuff in 2000 to 2004 you will see there was hugh debates about the pro-m but at the time I was using it there was nothing else , now that there is I only use the diablosport MAFia

You can use the MAFia on any MAF , no worries about it calibrated wrong , no worries about getting a replacement calibrated wrong , has room to go from 200hp to 6-700 HP all with the same MAF electronics and 3 inch MAF tube , I havent found a down side to it

A 3" MAF tube will be fine for up to about 12psi on the 2.0 duratec, after that you'll basically be at the voltage peak and need a MAFia. Of course that is 12psi with my setup, not necessarily yours. It will be up to you to log the MAF voltage and determine if you need a MAFia.

Can't say exactly what the MAF was doing but Ray @McNews felt comfortable with the setup and tune so I was okay with it.

I would go with a different setup if I were to do it again; most likely including a MAFia.

Its interesting how many different setups can be put together and seeing what kind of results come of them.

i talked to ash a little today. he said his pro-m is not able to be calibrated, its just a sensor. the injector calibration is done in the tune.

im going to try to get ahold of james henson and see if i can get a part number if you are interested in finding out more about it Tom. it may be something new

I've always found/been told that the 95-2000 mustangs mafs are a lot easier to tune than a focus maf. Ford makes it easy to switch them, and MAFia can be used. So I would just go with a mustang on a 3 inch tube .

I 100% disagree with that statement about running the Mustang MAF , why do it ? It has no benefit and does nothing but cost you more tuning time , the Focus MAF is perfect for the Focus
Tim if the pro-m isnt calibrated for the change in injectors (which = range) then why not just use the Focus MAF , if the pro-m has more range then it has to be recalibrated ,On his MAF there should be a tag and it will say "calibration" and in most cases will have an injector # there like COB30 what does Ashes say ? yes I would be interested if something new is out , I looked on the pro-m web site and didnt see anything new but they may be testing ????

Sorry i tried to get a better shot but even with two cameras it sucked.
Now the story goes like this. I dropped the car off and James Henson (tuner) installed the 80lb/hr Cobra jet injectors and the Pro-M. He keeps these in stock (pro-m) but had to order the injectors. I dont know if it was Calibrated for these injectors specifically or some sort of base calibration from Pro-M.
