saleen turbo with nitrous?

hello and thank you for a great information sight im new to the focus world and just bought my first 2005 saleen #42 h20 focus for 7000! i have been searching this sight way before i bought my car only because i wanted a focus! only problem is turbo kits r very selective with these cars and dropping another 4+grand is my only option for the fswerks stage 2 kit... then another 8 hundred for the cosworth rods i want...wanting a 2.3 dtec head for better fuel and exhaust flow but just dont want spend to much more than the rods and fswerks kit....also want to know if i can run my nitrous with the turbo kits?

The turbos on those kits are small and I think it will spool up fast enough that you wont need to keep your nitrous. I would say ditch the nitrous system and do the the turbo.

If you want the nitrous then you'll want a big turbo. OR only use the nitrous in 5th gear

I have an 04 saleen focus n20 and added the fswerks stage 2 kit with the gt2871r, I love it on 12-14 psi but now I am hooked on boost and cant wait to get my othere 2.3l home to start to build that. Running nitrous on these cars are fun but like old1030 and zxthrizzle05 where saying you dont need it.

Im also getting the gt2871r! Did you put this kit on stock internals? I hqve 8000 to spend on this build and am only looking for around 225 hp do to the fact that on nitrous it a fast beast nitrous at only 225hp...

man for that kind of money you could be looking at more than double your hp goal. you can make that on a stock bottom end.

Yes but the kit for the fswerks alone is 4.5 grand..3.5 grand left for parts just to make it a reliable ride for everyday use! Plus im stuck on turboing the car

buy a used kit and replace the turbo if your that worried about it. you can get a precision turbo cheaper than the everyones bandwagon garrets. they use garrett internals but are cheaper. my 5554 costed 650 and can support 550whp

I got my kit used for a great price and when I bought it the guy I bought the kit from bought the gt2871r 2 months before i bought it. Yes i put it on the stock internals and just put a new clutch in and pulls hard for 12-14 psi. I'm now looking for another motor to build the bottom end so i can get 20-25 psi out of this.
