Instrument lights and HVAC lights problem.
Hey guys, just looking for some ideas what could be the cause, i dont know if anyone else has had these problems.
Recently My instrument lights and HVAC bezel lights started going out about 5-30 seconds after turning on headlights(random). The milage LCD and radio lights goes from dim to bright like i turn my lights off using the switch. These are the only lights that go out, the light selector switch lights and door switch lights stay on. Any suggestions where to start looking would be amazing. |

Headlight switch. That's what tells those lights to come on in the first place, so the problem is likely to be there. Wiring problems- not caused by modifications- in a harness itself are rare and unlikely especially under the dash. Typically all wiring problems are the result of a device on the circuit: switch, breaker, fuse, receptacle, plug-in connector, etc. I'd remove the switch, and pay attention to the plug-in connector to see if it is loose or the wiring to it is loose, and then I'd replace the switch. If you're not familiar with working on cars, then I'd go find one in a junkyard. That way you can experiment with removing the switch yourself on some other vehicle where it doesn't matter what you damage in the process. The part will be cheaper too. This is fairly rare. I don't know of anyone else with switch problems.
