Question about Revised T-Stat Housing
Well I just did the Thermostat housing yesterday did the Revised housing, with a stock replacement thermostat, and no issues with the install, but, now the water temp hovers around 200, instead of the 190 it was at with the stock one. (I look at it on my ScanGauge) There is no leaks at all. The only thing I'm thinking is air in the system. I let it get to temperature with Expansion Tank cap off, and its at the max mark. Any other ideas? I've taken it on a few longer drives and still the same.
Suggestions?

New Thermostat, but OEM replacement. Didn't change the temp on the thermostat.

funny i have the EXACT same issue. i thought it was because i ended up with a mix of about 7 parts antifreeze to 3 parts water and strait antifreeze just doesnt cool as well.

Yea I just drained the rad, into a clean bucket, and reused it. Figured it was clean, and working fine, didn't need new.

Been 4 days, and still runs at 200, and gets there what seems to be faster that normal. Even when its almost freezing. I still think there is air in the system..... going to have try some things to bleed it.

^^^good point, I think the contour tstat runs cooler than the focus. Iirc people would put in the cooler contour tstat in the focus to get temps down. Might be a 180degree vs the focus 195degree or something.

But I replaced a STOCK SVT Thermostat, with a STOCK SVT Thermostat. lol and now it runs hotter with the new one.
