Coolant leak

Hey guys, my Focus is leaking coolant. My fuel pump went out a couple of weeks ago and while it was in the shop I had the mechanic find the leak for me. I figure it's probably something I can replace myself so no sense in paying him to do it. He said it was a plastic part on the driver side of the motor. So I got some pics of what I believe he was talking about. You can see some coolant sitting on the part there. So what is this part called? Any idea if I can just order a replacement online?

Thanks!

Its the thermostat housing. Very common issue. It may just be gaskets or the unit may have a crack in it.

Moved to "General Technical Chat". As BLRich1 had stated, this is a very common issue with the Focus. Another good thing is that it is a very easy fix.

Thanks for the quick replies! Does that just bolt right off, or is there anything else I should know?

yep, disconnect the hoses, unplug the sensor, take out long bolts. the coil pack and bracket may need to move to get the bolts out.

You might want to replace your valve cover gasket to that is the reason why they breakdown get a fel-pro one not one of the gooey blue ones they are junk. Also if you have any driving problems check your coil pack that is something else that goes out after your valve cover starts to leak. I can tell by your pics that it was leaking at the valve. Good luck!
