How to: 08-11 OEM fog light install

Ordered the kit last night. Gonna do the install during Christmas break :)

Done my install today.
My plus leads were crossed aswell if I followed the instructions that came with the kit! I noticed that right away, it would of been plugged into a dead spot of I did as the instructions showed. Removing the lower air damn, febder well, jacking up the car and taking off the tire was the worst and dirtiest part of the job. The rest wasn't bad at all IMO

Awesome. Glad I said something about that one plug too, cause it's not the first place you check when you are trouble shooting everything. You would think that the factory would put the leads into the right slot in the first place, oh well at least you caught it.

A lot of us 2nd gen guys got our Fog kit off of ebay for around $155-175

i know my 04 is different, but i will be using the same methodology for my svt. my fogs quit working and i am going to have to rewire them. got an aftermarket wiring kit that i think i'm going to hack up to fix mine.

this is a great write up...

i have been asking the question about fogs and high beams on at same time for a while now and you had it all along

now if i have an ses with stock log lights i just have to ground the orange and white wire to have them both on... i think this is what slammed was talking about... i hope

any input?

If you had the fogs from the get go you have to find that orange white wire and disconnect or cut it, what it does is trigger a switch to turn the fogs off when the high beams are turned on. If the wire is simply not attached it never triggers the switch thus the fogs stay on.
