Eurocars '04 SVT
Hey guys, figured its time to introduce myself. I bought an 04 SVT last week as a new DD; i've been driving my '81 Rabbit diesel since then. Anyway, I love the car. Gearbox feels alot like my MKV gti, it has decent usable power and handles great. I also have a 2006 mkv gti, HTA3586, all the go-fast goodies and i'm currently working on a 4motion swap for it (build thread for it here: http://golfmkv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=151460). Kw v3's, sway bars, figure out how to tuck 245's in there. From what I can gather, it has 17x7.5 rota slipstreams, steeda intake, clear sidemarkers, fs front/rear stress bars and some spring clamps to lower it.

also forgot to mention, there is some ghetto-rigged wiring going to the headlights. looked like the passenger side had the plug hacked off and re-done with an extra wire added. that extra wire goes to the drivers side headlight and then there's another wire that looks like its going from the drivers side headlight to the underhood fusebox. the d/s headlamp is on with the key, while the passenger side one only comes on with the headlight switch turned on. any ideas what they were attempting to do/anyone have headlight wiring diagrams so i can undo the mess?

This is for Mach headlights, not St170's, but I think they are wired almost the same. Some one can correct me if I'm wrong.
http://forums.focaljet.com/mk-i-exte...ml#post7580928 To me, it sounds like the previous owner tried to hook these headlights up as day time running lights. However, all you need to do for that is install a relay in one of the slots in the fuse box with no wiring required. Try unhooking the wire and see if the one headlight no longer turns when the car is started.
