2011 Ford Focus -Starting the Car

Hello,

I'm interested in purchasing a 2011 Ford Focus SE Certified PreOwned Car with 19600 miles on it. When I test drove the car I noticed when I put the key in the ignition and started the car up the car had a jolty shake to it. Is this normal in Ford Focuses? I'm wondering if its worth purchasing.

Thanks

It happens every time I start my car. I drive a 2011 SEL and it's done it every since I bought it. It has about 40000 miles on it now and it still has that "shaky" startup. About the only way I've heard of to get rid of that is by installing aftermarket motor mounts. Overall, it's a reliable car and I've never had any problems with the engine at all.

I bought my 09 focus used with about 32000 miles. I was also concerned about that somewhat "shaky" startup when I first got it, but 6000 miles later, its still doing the same thing.. which makes me think its totally normal. Great car. Havent had a single problem with it.
