Do it then, ill be waiting for the build thread.
Im in the 60k range too with only a few month on the job, my wife makes over 75k, few months also, ur point is? U asked for advised we told u the hard truth. U were supposed to be ready for it because thats how it is. Wrong platform for ur goal, Ull spend a few g's, not hit ur goal then realize we were right. So why be mad at me? Be mad at ford. Since u make enough why no t go to mexico and bring an rs over if money is not an issue? |

Use nitrous since that isn't force induction. Lol. Otherwise use a fully built high compression motor with a big cam. But good luck(that's not sarcasm either)

With a comment like that, yes. Good Luck. BTW, I made ~$12,000 last year and managed to build my car. Income means nothing. Desire and knowledge will always trump money. |

This thread, or threads like this always turn into a pissing contest in some sort. He want's to stay NA, he doesn't want to go FI, also n2o doesn't make you NA. It might sound dumb why some people would want to stay NA when it will cost almost the same price as going turbo. But it's the same ideology, to why we like FORDS for being Ford, and dislike others such as Chevy and Dodge. He just wants to build his engine and Tom's info should be enough. Custom Intake Manifold, Cat's Cams from UK, and 3" Exhaust. This will get you into the levels of putting down what is rate on the fly if not over. Cannot look down on a well built engine can we?

They are telling you the truth. The only real way to hit those kinds of numbers in an SVT is forced induction. If you are all about the motor then go for it. Mine is all motor because the military doesn't really pay enough to get forced induction but I have done everything I can to my suspension and I contend I could take just about anyone on a curvy road! it has the power to push through the corners and its very light on its wheels. haha good luck man.

We have engines lol! Just stating because. I'm suprised the Military doesn't pay you enough...? I was in Texas for 2 and a half years on Ft. Hood living off post. In Killeen, I'm just woundering how in the world could you not afford 3k, specially if over seas.
Edit: Non-E6/NCO, I currently have a friend that still active and is a lowly E3 and he has no room for advancement and he makes 1800 1st and 15th. Granted if you have a family its harder but then you get crazy BHA. That more then enough for any housing.

I was looking into it while I was deployed but I decided to pay the car off instead. Im glad I choose that route. I haven't paid a car payment in almost 5 years. I do have a family and that does make it more difficult. if I really wanted I could save for it but it would take a while. I suppose if I wanted to I could I just haven't. I would also have to pay to get it put in cause I am not much of a car mechanic and there is a lot that goes into a turbo kit to make sure it works properly. I guess you could say I don't trust my mechanical skills enough to trust I would have a car to drive after I was done. haha
