Rebuild Transmission Help
I recently swapped in a used transmission so that I could rebuild my original transmission in my spare time and I'm getting to the point of rebuilding the transmission. But, when looking for rebuild kits, I found there is 2 options for the rear pinion bearing.
One kit says 18.5mm wide and another says 20.5 mm wide. I drive a 2000 Ford Focus ZX3. I don't physically have the transmission with me right now, and it's not taken apart so is there any way for me to tell which size based on my VIN or something like that? |

Welcome to the forum
I don't see why you couldn't just run the vin and find out what kit will fit. How to go about doing that and where to go to find out I have no idea. Hopefully someone will chime in with the answer.

Probably more apt to find that using trans code on tag or stamped on trans. Small mods like that often not recorded to VIN.
