Upgraded halogens (Night Breaker Plus)

I bought a pair of Osram Night Breaker Plus H11 bulbs, which are supposed to be the brightest H11s available. I saw quite a noticeable difference when I upgraded the halogens on our 2000 5-series to Philips Extreme Vision bulbs, so I thought I'd do something similar with the Focus (Phillips doesn't make H11 Extreme Vision bulbs).

For $47 shipped from the UK, they're marginally brighter and whiter, but not really worth the money, IMO. Perhaps the improvement is less noticeable this time around because the original bulbs were only a year old. See for yourself:

On the upside, swapping the bulbs wasn't difficult at all. You do have to remove the headlights (2 screws), disconnect the connector, but once they're out, you have full access to them. When it's time to reinstall, there's a clip that helps the headlights fit properly.

You mentioned the Phillips extreme vision bulbs, but I've heard a lot of good things about the crystal vision ultras, both from this forum and other car forums. I might give those a shot since they are only $30 on Amazon.
