Parking Light Mod

So I just ordered a couple blue LED bulbs to replace the amber ones that come on with my parking lights in the headlights of my car. Obviously I am aware that these are not technically legal but I am wondering if anyone knows the fine for having blue accent lights in your headlights in Virginia. Also, will these blue lights blink when I put my turn signal on?

The only lights up front that will blink when the signal is activated are the front and mirror signals, if equipped. Blue can be ticketed, but it is very much at the discretion of your police. I would imagine that most likely it would be a fix-it ticket.

With your lights on in any form they will be on steady-no flash.

Can't tell you the fine, but it's a federal law that only emergency vehicles can have forward facing red or blue lights. You also won't be able to pass inspection. Have fun with the LEOs.

well the thing thats good about them is that they're super easy to get to, so Ill definitely keep the stock amber ones around.

What are you going to swap them out while the flashing lights are behind you? "Officer, I swear they were yellow the whole time!"

Wont be long till one of the manufacturers comes out with dual color ones you could trigger back to the legal color if you get pulled over.

Ive had red led's in my svt headlights for about 6 months without getting pulled over so im not too worried about it, but if it becomes a problem I'll change em back.
