2013 SYNC wind noise

I have made a grand total of one phone call using the SYNC and the person on the other end said it sounded like I was in a wind tunnel when I wasn't talking but it was clear when I talked. Anybody else have this problem?

After doing some searching it seems like this was a common problem with the 2012.

i've not had any issues... no one has complained about the voice quality and i can hear folks clear as a bell, even when my window are open (so long as im not blasting along at 80mph lol)

I didn't have the "wind tunnel" effect with MFT v2.11, I suddenly had it when MFT v3.0.2 was installed, and I don't have it anymore after MFT v3.5.1 was installed. My calls still aren't crystal clear but usable. The "wind tunnel" made hands-free calling completely unusable for me for the nine months I had v3.0.2. What version of Sync or MFT are you on?

I have 3.0.2 and my calls are crystal clear both ways. People are impressed that they are on speaker, while I am on the highway and they hear me clearly with no issues. I guess not all cars have that issue.

I will check and see which version I have, with the car being built in September I would think it would be the most recent.

That's the thread that I was referring to in my post regarding the 2012's. It will take me a while to get through the whole thing. Maybe one of those fixes will work for me.

oh woops gotcha. I would start out shoving some carpet padding/sound deadening material into space above the mic/sunglass holder since its the easiest and quickest thing to probably do.

Just curious, what kind of phone do you have paired with your sync?
