Issue with Cat from CFM

Anyone have any problems with this product? I bought mine this summer and the pipe has broken off at the weld spot right behind the converter. Back pipe is hanging by the flex pipe. Started as a small crack then completely broke off overnight. Tried calling C-F-M ( not sure if it has a warranty ) but i guess they're off for NYE. I guess it can be weld back but it's so new I think I shouldnt have to. |

I have had mine on my car for about 4 years and never had a single problem. Did you get the High Flow Cat? that's the one I have.

I ordered the one i linked. the one with the heat shield. I was reading the reviews on it and a lot of people were praising the excellent welds on the pipe. Maybe mine is a lemon. the way my weeks going, i expect my car to just spontaneously combust at any time

Send William an email. Might still be under warranty. He gave me a brake on a hfc I bought yeeeeeaaars ago that cracked. He is good on his word and product.

are your o2 bungs in the same spots as the pic on their site? they revised the placing of the o2 bungs. so you might have an old pipe.
i had the same issue with my ORP (old design) the rear o2 bung area cracked and broke |

Sounds like the op has the new design. Redesign was previous to this past summer i believe. I had the old design and that thing had cracks everywhere. My second 02 bung cracked thru.

pretty sure it's the newer design. crack was at the weld directly behind the Cat. the upwards bend that connects to the flex pipe. car is at my dads's or i'd show pic.
