New member and new 2013
Hello all,
I have been a lurker here for a while and finally jumped in. I just bought a 2013 SE hatchback with a 5-spd. I was surprised they actually had a number to choose from in the area as I had to buy off the lot to get the incentives. I also have a 2003 ZTW 5-spd with 255,000 miles that I added an SVT header and re-timed the cams for a little more upper end HP. It's now my winter beater/teenagers car! I hope the new car holds up as well as the old one. Sure wish they would have offered the wagon, I would have bought one in a heartbeat, hard to beat the utility of a little wagon. Mike G |

Welcome!
And I totally agree with the wagon - I would consider trading in my current 2012 for a wagon... Especially for a diesel wagon!

As far as the wagon goes.....you're probably not going to find too many wagon enthusiasts here, but I do agree with you. I used to own a 1995 Ford Escort wagon. I bought it new at the time and it was my daily driver. I had a 3 hour daily (roundtrip) commute between home & work and I can't say enough how great that little wagon was. You're right about the utility. The best part was the rear seats folded down so that gave you even more cargo room. I used to transport my bicycle back there and it worked out perfectly. These days there's a very limited market for wagons, but personally I still think they're cool. If Ford introduced a Focus wagon for 2014, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. |

Welcome! Love the grey color. It shows the black grill and other details I the car very nicely.

time for foglights and DRLs :D
our buds across the pond have the estate (correct me if i'm wrong) model, which is the wagon. i'm not a huge fan of it, but being 17, that's understandable. when I found the site in August right after I purchased my mk1, I was like "oh whatever, i'll just join to see the mod list", and now it's always open in my internet pages. I love the site, and tell other friends to check it out all the time. there's alotta great people here, and welcome! |
