Need help installing aftermarket seats

Hey guys, I'm looking at buying a pair of seats from a friend off a 2007-2008 style RSX. They will come with the full RSX brackets and sliders. I believe those seats are made by Recaro?
What would be the best way to go about making brackets to get these seats in my 2009 Focus?

well first put them im and see how far off the mounting holes are. from there it depends how crafty you can get to fab up some brackets to mount from the rsx brackets to the stock holes. if the sliders and brackets can come off the seat easily with then it may be worth buying universal sliders and making your own brackets. if you have welding and custom fab abilities this wont be to hard just trial and error. i just mounted some corbeau a4 in my car and making brackets to mount to sliders is easier then you think. then again i am one to customize all my stuff and come up with ways of making things work.

Any idea if the stock cloth seats have air bags in them and if so would I get an airbag light if I removed them?

not sure but they will have little tags on the seams of the seat that will let you now if there are. if there are then yes you will get a light and there are other sensors under there that will set off the light at least there was on my 04 one being for the seatbelt buckles and another for like the seat positioning for the drivers side.

Damn. I think they do have the airbag tags. Is there anything I can do to keep the light off? And will the airbags in the dash still be active?

There should also be a bladder in the base of the passenger seat that checks to see if something under a certain weight is sitting there.

Ive heard yes or no on if the dash airbags will still work with the side airbags unhooked. Dont think Id want to find out the hard way

ordering a dummy plug for the side airbags then moving the bladder over would be the best bet. last post here gives more info: http://forums.corral.net/forums/s-19...installed.html

Damn. I unplugged the passenger seat plug and airbag light went on >:(

Far as I know, you can't tune a SRS light out,,, least I can't with my 2000.

So it's going to be a remove the gauge cluster and put black tape over the light ... the light is actually a LED that can't be removed from the cluster.
