MFT 3.5.1 Adding Destination by GPS Coordinates

Hey everyone,

I go hiking pretty often, and a lot of times there is no address or street intersection I can input into MFT for it to calculate a destination. That's why being able to enter the GPS coordinates into the device to have it take me down weird unmarked forest roads was very handy.

However, in the destination menu, I no longer see the option to enter GPS coordinates. This is a huge feature for me. Did they just move this screen somewhere else or did they remove it completely?

I swear to god Ford is basing all of their changes on the stupid Consumer Reports reviews and not actual market research. That is just unbelievable.

THanks for the link, that is really messed up. Now instead of just entering in some coordinates I have to zoom into the location on the map manually and set the destination. Which means I pretty much have to know where I'm going already instead of just writing down soem coordinates when I'm at home looking up and planning a trip.

Incredibly stupid ford... Is this enough to get them to refund the cost of MFT from my vehicle. THis feature was THE reason why I upgraded to the MFT system in the Focus.

This is getting ridiculous. Ford, we're complaining because the interface is cluttered, not the functions. I can't think of a single GPS system on the market that doesn’t accept coordinates. What’s the point of making MFT more user-friendly by taking away useful functions?
Consumer Reports reviews everything from a soccer mom’s point of view. They hate anything that has a learning curve.

Does Mapqest send to car feature still work? I know they killed Google, but last I checked, Mapquest worked. I know its not the right answer, but may be a viable workaround...

I tried mapquest. It says my phone number is not associated with a sync account. Checked my account on SMR.com, its associated with my phone number. So even the alternative doesn't work. Good job partnering with an inferior product Ford!
