I havent had the chance to see one in person, but everybody here on the forum says they are cheap and do not look good, all the more reason not to bother with them. I want something that looks OE, the Chinese eBay units looks like the only to achieve that without going all out and adding MFT, but they dont say anything about being compatible with Sirius so I am stuck at a brick wall there, to.

I found when upgrading my 6 speaker non touch stereo that I got a better signal to the amp from the front speakers. I tapped both and the rear speakers channels cut about 45hz and lower bass signals. So if it seems you're missing some bass that's probably why. My 09 F150 was the same way. Just FYI

Dang that sounds like a pain. I will be adding in my 12inch sub..I should only have to tap into the 8inch sub I have in the back of the car. This should be a piece of cake. Has anyone used the fuse panel in the back of the car instead of running it up front?

It would be more of a pain to mess with fuse panel. Personally I wouldn't cut corners when your dealing your electronics. Just run everything to the battery and head unit (if you decide to add that) the conventional way.

Are you talking about having a stock aftermarket head unit?

My thoughts were to tap into the wires on the 8 inch sub, to connect to my amp. The amp would have a wire directly for power from the battery. The little blue wire (Tells the amp when the car is on), could be connected in the fuse panel in the back. When I say connect I am talking about adding a second fuse to the one. I just don't know if any of them turns on with the car or not. I will need to get a diagram for it.

Seat heater fuses in the hatch work with the key on and off for remote.

Yes, I just need to find a diagram or just start pulling fuses to see which one does what. This will make my Sub install super easy.

Where exactly did you find the hole in the firewall for the cable? Was it with all the other cables going in on the passenger side?
