dyno power run
Hi guys we having a local dyno day and im curious to find out what figures my 170 is pushing before i get my tune for the new year 1. Which will be the best gear to dyno in .2 will be safe to rev to 7200 .3 our fuel 95 octane fuel is definately inferior to the states higher octane fuel so will it be advisable to run octane booster , i have changed sparkplugs and gapped them to 1.3mm (motorcraft platinum) , changed my oil ( 5w 30) new oil filter , tyre pressure is 2.2 bars , i will appreciate any advice on things to do or not to do to the car before i dyno it , i want to get the car running at peak performance so as to get as close as it can to the 127 kw ford claim .thanks

dyno in 4th. You want as close to 1:1 ratio as you can get. Anything else will skew results unless the dyno operator knows the correction factor.
Just watch the AFR. If it goes lean, STOP. Find out why it's lean, fix it and then continue to dyno. No. Do not use any type of Octane booster. Dyno on the fuel you normally use, nothing else or foreign. |

On this side of the planet they are tuned a bit rich. So you should see somewhere in the 12.5:1 range WOT.
A little leaner is fine. But if you see above 13.5 and rising, let out. |
