Universal remote visor / Homelink mirror

If plans work out, I should be getting an ST1 by the first week in January. I'm a little disappointed to find out that no STs are equipped with a garage remote. Has anyone here replaced their visor with a remote visor or installed a Homelink mirror? if so,please share your experiences and part numbers. I really want an integrated remote. Thanks guys.

Im sick of seeing people constantly telling others to revert to the search button for every question that pops up. In the time you took to type that response you could have done a search yourself (like I did) and actually helped the OP and not made a meaningless post. We are all here looking for information, just help find the info and answer the question, its not a hard thing to do.

You already did that. And I am helping...in directing the OP to the forum rules, guidelines and etiquette.

To the OP: check the Mk3 section too, there are a lot if discussions that intermingle.

In the Forum rules: "Please try searching - just once or twice. If you can't find what you want, go ahead and post your question."

Please know the rules as they are stated, as well as the facts about someone's actions before making assumptions & assertions. Etiquette lessons go both ways. The reason I searched the ST section is because the interior color is different, and I want information that would be specific to the ST.

My apologies for going off a little. This is the 5th thread ive seen today where someone has pointed someone in the direction of the search button. And I see it so much EVERYDAY its getting quite old.

While you are helping (in a way) there isnt a need to add to a post when information is already given. In this case the OP did do a search and didnt find anything. While this wasn't known in the OP we can usually assume that a member with almost 500 posts knows how to use the search button. Where a member with 5 might need some direction.

And as WhiteTite stated:

While this is great to do to find answers, I dont want the mentally of the users to be afraid of asking questions in fear of being "flamed" for not searching. We want everyone to feel welcome here. And directing people to the search button (even after the fact) really isn't welcoming IMO.

My last post wasn't about you not searching, I was letting you know that the Mk3 section contains a wealth of information. Not to mention that Homelink was a 2012 MY option only, of which, the ST was not made.

I was suggesting you widen your search parameters to include the section with the most posts and thereby, hopefully, garnering you the best possible results.

Consider this time used to help you in any future searches. And, most OP include, "sorry if this has been asked, I searched and couldn't find anything, but..." My apologies to you for making an assumption based on that lack of information.
