Wow, this goes back to what I have originally said before. If you can't build the car for yourself then what's the point? You will never satisfy everyone else's personal taste and you will kill yourself trying to do that. Just do the stuff you enjoy and live with it.

Talking about people who slam their cars and burn up their fender linings from the tires rubbing.

Not even linings anymore...they F up actual paint and bodywork now.

This quote sure looks familiar. Where'd you find it?

For the actual builds like thelit's, Rudel's, hurtinfocus, diciplerocks, I am speechless - they do amazing work and I can only dream of doing something like what they are doing. For that reason I don't know what to say, other than just admiring their work.
Hell, I have a build thread, or threads, somewhere on here but over a period of 9 years they get lost and buried and it just becomes to damn much work to find them.

Ah, I got it. There's a dude in my neighborhood who dropped his car, and it looks like he thought you could roll your fenders with an ice pick. Seriously.

Well, you see pics of cars on the net that look like yours only better.

But what you might not know, is the pics were taken with the car dropped all the way on coilovers or bags for the pics, and isn't really driveable. But it does make for a nice pic.

Johnny sees this and emulates it, and he might get a fashionable stance job done. But it smacks the fenders with 1/2" of suspension travel, and he tries driving it like that until he destroys his fenders or gets tired of replacing tires.

Too ashamed to admit to his cyber-buddies that it just isn't workable, he keeps telling everybody how it worked just fine but always shows the same pics he took day one, before the car hammered itself to death. He gets to save face and be a cyber hero for a little while.

(that's my take on the burning fenders thing)
